At this tutorial we will review the both methods of publishing with Elemente:

How To: Start From a Predefined Template

Step 1. Open a PSD Template

Photoshop is running?

  • Photoshop’s top menu > Click on 'Elemente'
  • 'Quick launch' > 'Create a blog layout'

Photoshop isn't opened?

  • Click on Windows 'Start' button
  • Find 'Divine Elemente' > 'Launch Divine Elemente (CS-CC)'
  • 'Quick launch' > 'Open sample template'

HINT: If you don't see an 'Elemente' item - just click on 'Help' menu item in Photoshop's top menu. This weird behaviour can happen sometimes and can't be managed because of restrictions of Photoshop's API.

Step 2. Set / Edit a Layout Grid and Assign Elements

  • Photoshop’s top menu > Click on 'Elemente'
  • 'Quick launch' > 'Publish and Upload current PSD'

To see all assigned elements:
display all the elements ('View' > 'Show Elements')

Step 3. Edit FTP Settings For Theme Uploading

With the help of Divine Elemente you can publish your theme directly to your hosting server. To do this, you should create an account and specify the connection parameters. Select Settings> Accounts.

  • (A) server address and a port if required,
  • (B) path on server for the theme uploading,
  • (C) authorization data on server.

In the Accounts window press on "Add a new account". Fill in the necessary fields to connect and specify the root directory of your WordPress blog. Click on "Ok".

Step 4. Preview / Publish the WordPress Theme

After your account has been created, you can select it in the right panel. Select it and press on "Publish" or "Live Preview".

Select "Upload to " (A)(B) and click the ‘Upload to ’ button (C).

In the case of any errors exist, you will receive corresponding messages in the publising window. You can always get back to the layout and fix them.

Step 5. Install and Activate the WordPress Theme

After your ready-made theme is uploaded to a server, it must be activated for you to start using it.

In the WordPress CMS backend, move to the 'Appearance > Themes' section, select a new theme uploaded and activate it as a current theme.

After the theme is activated, move to the website and enjoy your new blog design.


How To: Create a wireframe PSD with the Layout editor

Step 1. Layout Editor > Create a Wireframe PSD Template

Step 2. Check or Uncheck Necessary Elements

To do this in the right panel choose the layout type. Set parameters for each grid block. Uncheck the elements to be located in the layout.

Step 3. Create a PSD Wireframe Template

Press on "Create PSD" button. After a short process of creating a PSD layout, a window will pop up inviting to enter the PS and design a new PSD layout. Click "Yes".

Installing and Activating

The most basic information about Divine Elemente: installation, activation, trial, and uninstallation is covered in this tutorial. Related: Trial Mode and Purchase

System requirements

OS support: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8

Adobe Photoshop support(32 bit only): CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, CC


Installation

If you’d like to install the product on your computer, please follow these easy steps:

Step 1. Download Photoshop plugin and launch "Setup.exe"

Step 2. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the Divine Elemente installation.

The setup process proceeds smoothly and easily. In case something goes wrong, the setup program will tell you what to do in a certain situation.

Please contact support(at)divine-project.com, if you experience any problem with the installer.


Activation

If Divine Elemente is launched for the first time, it’s necessary to enter the activation code for your purchased plugin version.

The activated version of Divine Elemente gives access to regular updates.

After the product is purchased, an activation code is sent to the e-mail mentioned at registration. Also this key will be available on the user's personal page.

To activate the software, copy the code received, paste it in the "Activation code" field and press the “Activate” button on the right.

Important Note:

The license could be activated on one computer only, but you could transfer the license to other PC in three easy steps:

  • go to your personal page
  • click on "Details" link (near the license at the purchase history)
  • click on "Transfer the license to the other PC" link (in order to reset license data).

Each user can firstly try the software in its trial mode (first 7 days without any restrictions). To take this chance, click on the "Continue Trial" button in the activation window.

Uninstallation

If you’d like to remove the plugin from your system, please follow these easy steps:

Step 1. Choose ''Uninstall'' from the Divine Elemente program group (Start > Divine > Uninstall Divine Elemente).

Or perform the following actions:

  • Open the Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel).
  • Double-click on the "Add / Remove programs" icon.
  • Search in the list for the "Divine Elemente" item and double-click on it.

Step 2. Answer “Yes” to the question: «Are you sure you want to completely remove…»

Step 3. Then select Adobe Photoshop’s versions you want to remove Divine Elemente plugin from. And after you finish, press the “Ok” button.

Note: In case you select all the versions, the Divine Elemente plugin will be removed completely from your system.

Step 4. After you finish the plugin unistallation, please answer the questions provided.

The data input will be used only for statistics and further improvement of software quality. To complete the process, press the ''Finish'' button.

1. PSD Template: Eliminate Visual Disorder

Elements in Divine Elemente give great possibilities of publishing on various CMS, image formats, various functionality, etc.; and following the standard technologies of Photoshop, different CMS, browsers, etc., you may achieve perfect results. In order your theme looks qualitative, you are to take care of your PSD template’s quality

In order to produce a high-quality theme, you must produce a well-organized PSD template.

Following a few simple tips you can achieve astonishing results in Divine Elemente.


2. Element: One Type Layer And/Or One Merged Image

That's why, at element's creation, place the necessary text layer on top of all others in the group.


3. No Overlap: Grid Blocks & Slices In Photoshop

First of all, at template's designing, watch over an element's arrangement. No element's layer should overlap the boundary of a grid block. An example of correct and incorrect elements' arrangement concerning a layout grid.

In case element's layers overlap a grid block's boundary yet, this element cannot be assigned in the Publish Editor. More details on elements' arrangement can be found in the "Elements" guide.

Secondly, it's not desirable that elements overlap each over.

As you can see, at correct elements' arrangement and following basic standards of web design, your template will look not only accurate, but it'll allow you to work with Divine Elemente much more convenient.


4. Elements On Complex Background

At template's creation, it's necessary to take into account the fact that elements can be moved down with their background on the website's page, and such elements will not look good on the complex background.

That's why it's very important to select a correct format of an element's image.

5. Type: Differences Between Point & Paragraph Text

Point text is recommended for such web elements as ‘Logo’, ‘Navigation menu’, ‘Texts’ that will not be changed in the CMS.

Paragraph text is recommended for elements, which contain more than one line of a text, and for elements, which boundaries should be set accurately (‘Posts’ > ‘Titles’; ‘Posts’ > ‘Contents’; ‘Posts’ > ‘Comments’, etc.)

Trial mode

To try Divine Elemente in trial mode, just click on the "Continue Trial" button.

The trial mode is only offered for our customers to become acquainted with using the Divine Elemente plugin, therefore it has several restrictions:

  • All illustrations will be published in GIF format.
  • After the first 7 days all images will include the watermarks.

If you want to use the software with no restrictions, receive updates, and install optional modules (extensions), you must purchase a license to Divine Elemente.
